Fireflies Twin Headboard

This piece is a nostalgic relief sculpture of a child in the woods catching fireflies in a mason jar. It was sculpted in oil-based clay on board, a silicone mold made, cast in silver-impregnated polyurethane resin, and drilled for LED “fireflies,” before framed into a wooden twin sized headboard. The result is a captivating experience of flashing lights that can be used as a nightlight or reading light by the occupant of the bed.
